Religious stamps

Whenever I choose stamps in Polish post office online shop, I am amazed with the amount of religious stamps they offer. There are stamps with pope, stamps with priests, stamps with saints, stamps with Maria icons... Look just how many Maria's there are! I am not religious however I do like some of them, those quirky looking ones... Still, the number of them is quite shoking, isn't it? Do you have religious stamps in your country?

  1. We have some religious stamps in France, but they never show pope or Maria or anything like that, only cathedrals. Also lately they issued a common stamp with Vatican city which shows Jeanne d'Arc.

    1. Well, I actually see cathedral stamps more as architecture-ish than religious... oh, Jeanne d'Arc, it might be a nice stamp:)

  2. In Spain the religious stamps have almost disappeared. Except for these one showing monuments like cathedrals, or commemorating some special festival. Even the Christmas' stamps they issue every year is less and less religious and more artistic (in my opinion).

In Morocco I haven't seen any religious stamp so far. I mean, in the web; because indeed they sell me the same stamp again and again :(

But I like the stamps you posted. I don't mind to receive them and I find them very Polish. But maybe is only because the few Polish people I've met in my life were very religious.

And I love your post today! It is a lot of work to upload all these pictures! :)

    1. Haha, yes, it actually took some time to arrange those pics, it's so easy if they're not one under another but few in a row.

I guess it's more older people that are very religious, youngsters in Poland are getting less and less so.

But I see that religious staps are obviously our thing seeing the comments here:)
