Hobbies, interest, obsessions...;) Not always we have someone around who would share our passion for something or someone. I guess everyone knows that there's nothing worse than listening to ecstatic raptures over something out of our interest over and over again that we maybe don't even understand. Or how it is to talk to someone who doesn't know what the hell you're talking about and justs stares at you with bored "can you end this topic please" eyes. That's totally normal and understandable. Even if we love someone dearly, we can simply not have the same interests. But maybe somewhere far away is someone as crazy about something as you? Maybe someone would love to exchange ideas, news, photos connected with your passion? Maybe there is someone also "not understood", waiting for your letter about yours common favourite topic?
I know about feeling lazy as I've been feeling like that lately... still when I get the chance I'll take part in this.

I've tried to get some fans of a particular actress to write letters lately, but they're all twittering and facebooking and act like I'm a freak because I do neither, so I am still pestering my innocent other friends about that... sigh...

ReplyDeleteI love it when I have same interests with my penpals, but I also love when we are completely different, because I can learn so much stuff that way.
ReplyDeleteI notice when I write an intro, sometimes I forget to add something Im into and then my penpal writes back and somehow we have something to talk about. The interest I forgot about writing was answered and we have a common interest. So, I know what you mean. Ive been a little lazy too.
